Current: What's Happening 6/26/23

  • New Admin: Theresa Jones has been hired to do the work Lonnie previously did for New Day. Please be patient as she learns her new responsibilities. Please give Lonnie your thanks when you see her, for all her hard work for us.

  • Moving Help Needed: Fred Marcum & Yon Scott need your assistance in helping move items from their old house next Saturday, July 1st at 1 pm to their new place. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Questions?? Contact Fred or Yon.

  • Pastor Ann & Youth at Luther Heights: Pastor Ann and Theresa will be gone to Luther Heights June 25-30. Several youth from our congregation will be attending camp. Pastor Ann and the confirmation students will spend some time learning together. Please pray for safe travels for all of us and greater connections with God and one another.

  • Pastor Ann will not have cell reception this week, so please contact Merlene if you have any needs that arise this week. Merlene is able to contact Pastor Ann in case of an emergency.

  • Heads up: With warmer weather coming, Pastor Ann may not always wear an alb for the sake of comfort. Rest assured, God's love for all will still be proclaimed!

  • Thank You: Nancy Duff and Merlene Brockway for the new PRIDE altar cloth (will be debuted July 2nd) and the matching stole for Pastor Ann.

  • The Idaho Falls Community Food Basket: is in need of volunteers to help collect monetary donations during the 4th of July parade. Volunteers would need to be able to walk both sides of an assigned, two block section of the parade route. If you're willing to do this, please call me (Theresa) and I will assign a section. We'll even throw in a really cool t-shirt for you to wear. Thank you very much!

  • AED Fundraiser: We're working on raising money to purchase an AED. An automated external defibrillator or automatic electronic defibrillator (AED) is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation (VF) and pulseless ventricular tachycardia,[1] and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electricity which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to re-establish an effective rhythm. With simple audio and visual commands, AEDs are designed to be simple to use for the layperson. You can give to this ministry by donating a special offering either on Facebook, as cash, check, or with online payments on our website. (Don't forget to designate where you'd like your donation to go.) We have raised $1225 of the $2000 needed.

  • Small groups: Please check New Day’s webpage for updated information.

  • How to support New Day Financially:Your support helps us share God's love with those in our congregation, in our community, and in our world. Some of the ministries we support are the Idaho Falls Community Food Basket, the Soup Kitchen, Luther Heights Bible Camp, and the Regional Council of Christian Ministries. Thank you to all who have shared God's love through New Day with your financial support, your time, and your talents!
