What's Happening at New Day!

  • Our last Lenten Soup Supper is this Wednesday. We are still in need of one soup, one bread and one cookie sign-up. Please let Pastor Ann know if you can help.

  • Here's the list of nominees for Bishop along with their biographies. The election will be held at the upcoming Synod Assembly at the end of April. Please feel free to read through them and share your feedback with Merlene Brockway, Theresa Jones, or Pastor Ann regarding who you might like to see as Bishop.

  • Kitchen Update – We are on our way to installing flooring and countertops.

  • If you're interested in baptism or membership, please contact Pastor Ann.

  • Kay Leaf had surgery on Friday, February 10. Dennis and Kay will need some assistance with meals. If you can help out, please contact Kay and Dennis.

  • Thrivent Grants are available: If you have a Thrivent account or policy, you may be able to apply for a grant to help fund ministries at New Day. Please contact Pastor Ann if you have questions or to set up a time to talk about ways to support New Day.

  • Rummage Sale DATE CHANGE: April 28th 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. - April 29th 9 a.m to 1 p.m. Cher Stone is the point of contact if you want to volunteer with set-up or have goodies to sell. Items can be brought into the Fellowship Hall (please no organs) on April 25th, please have your items priced. We will ask for volunteers with pick-ups to deliver the leftovers to various thrift stores. Proceeds will go to the kitchen update.

  • The tech team has added a folder on our One Drive system specifically for NDLC members to upload photos from the past to. The folder contains sub folders by year in case you know the time frame of pictures. We would like to use these photos for historical reports from time to time, website and social media posts, etc. If you have any questions please contact Andrea King or Theresa Jones.

*** St. Luke’s welcomes you to join them in any of the Holy Week services held in the sanctuary. Holy Week Schedule April 2 - The Sunday of the Passion: Palm Sunday April 3 - Holy Monday, noon, Stations of the Cross April 4 - Holy Tuesday, noon, Stations of the Cross April 5 - Holy Wednesday, noon, Stations of the Cross April 6 - Maundy Thursday, 7pm Holy Eucharist, Foot Washing and Stripping of the Altar April 7 - Good Friday, noon April 8 - Easter Vigil - 8:30 pm April 9 - Easter Sunday *** We are grateful and blessed to have been able to continue our ministry during this strange time of COVID-19 through online worship, the Summer Food Service Program, financially supporting Luther Heights Bible Camp, and continuing to serve our community through the Food Basket and Soup kitchen. None of these things would have been possible without your generosity. Thank you!
