Serving Our Community
As a community seeking to follow the example of Jesus Christ, we are proud to be able to serve our community in a variety of different ways. See below for a list of ministries and links to sign-up to share your varied talents and gifts with us. Thank you for your passion for serving our community!
Worship on Sundays
Worship for us is always a celebration, not just in praise to our God, but in the very simple joy of coming together as a diverse group of people to love and support one another under our common bond as Christians. We worship every Sunday at 11 am and we LOVE to have a variety of people share their time and talents with us in worship. It heightens everyone's worship experience! And no matter what your talents are, we would love to have you share them with us, whether you want to work "behind the scenes" to run the sound and video, or greet people as they come through the door, or be a part of the band or even perform a piece of music for us, we'd love for you to be a part of our worship. And if you don't know how to so something but are willing to learn, we can teach you!
Serve at the Soup Kitchen
One of the ministries we are proud to serve regularly is the Idaho Falls Soup Kitchen. We are scheduled to serve on the 2nd Saturday of each month. We are in need of 8 or so folks to help cook and serve the meal. Anyone 12 and older can volunteer.
Meals of Love
There are times in all of our lives when we need a little extra help. One way we can help support one another as a body of CHrist is to help provide a meal for someone in need. Click on the link below to learn more.
Wednesday Night Lenten Soup Suppers
New Day Lutheran and St. Luke's Episcopal are blessed to be able to host Wednesday Night soup suppers and worship beginning March 13th, 2019 and throughout the season of Lent. These evenings will include dinner starting at 6pm, a speaker from a local non-profit at 6:30, followed by a short taize style worship service from 6:45-7:15pm. We are in need of volunteers to bring food for the suppers. Click the link below to sign-up to help with a meal for Lent
